Armenia

A landlocked mountainous country in the Caucasus region of Eurasia. Situated at the juncture of Western Asia and Eastern Europe, it is bordered by Turkey to the west, Georgia to the north, Azerbaijan to the east, and Iran and the Azerbaijani exclave of Nakhchivan to the south.

Required Items/Steps Checklist

# Description
1 Passport Requirements: Send us your original, signed passport valid for 6 months beyond stay, and with at least one blank visa page available for visa stamp(s). The Amendment pages in the back of the passport can't be used for visa stamp.
2 Visa Application Form: One visa application form per applicant properly completed and signed. Signature must be original on each application. Improperly completed forms may delay the processing of your visa.
3 Photo Requirements: One recent 2 x 2 passport type photograph, in color, front view and with a plain/light background. (snapshots are not accepted).
4 Proof of Departure: Computer generated flight itinerary from the airline or a travel agency, copy of airline ticket or a corporate letter stating travel plans. A signed letter on the travel agency’s letterhead confirming round-trip booking may also be submitted.
5 Minors: Consular fees are waived for applicants under 18 years of age.
6 Other Requirements: If you plan to stay in Armenia for a period longer than 120 days, you must apply for a Temporary Residence Card at the Passport and Visa Department of the Police Service of Armenia (Address - 13 A Mashtots Street, Yerevan, Armenia; Tel. (3741) 53-43-91 or (3741)52-14-16.
7 Official Invitation: A letter of invitation is not required to travel to Armenia if the intended length of stay does not exceed 120 days. However, if applicant possess as invitation to travel to Armenia, he/she must make sure that his/her inviting party has verified the invitation for private travelers at the Passport and Visa Department of the Police Service in Yerevan. The applicant must submit the original invitation form along with his/her visa supporting documents.
8 Special Instructions: Please note that the Embassy of Armenia in Washington, DC is closed on Wednesdays. Please take this into consideration when sending your documents to Passport Rush for processing.
9 Complete the Passport Rush Service Order Form You must include a copy of this form with all other supporting documents. (NOTE: Consular fees are NON-refundable. If visa is rejected and resubmitted new consular fees will apply).

Visa Validity

Single Entry visas are usually valid for 6 months and allow a maximum stay in Armenia of 120 days. Multiple Entry visas are usually valid for 1 year and allow a maximum stay in Armenia of 120 days.

Visa Processing Time

Visas are usually processed in 4 working days.  Rush and Emergency service may be available for additional fees.   Please visit our Consular Fees page for details. Rush and Emergency service is defined as any attempt made by Passport Rush to retrieve the visa in less time than the amount required by the embassy to process the visa.

Non-refundable tickets or reservations should not be purchased until all visas and passports are secured and in your possession.
