Kenya

A country of east-central Africa bordering on the Indian Ocean. The site of many early hominid fossils, Kenya was inhabited during historic times by various Cushitic, Nilotic, and Bantu peoples including the Kikuyu and the Masai. The coast was settled by Arab traders in the 8th century A.D. and later (16th-18th century) by the Portuguese.  Kenya became a British protectorate in 1890 and crown colony in 1920.  It achieved independence in 1963.

Passport Requirements: Send us your original, signed passport valid for 6 months beyond stay, and with at least one blank visa page available for visa stamp(s).

2 Visa Application Form: One Online Kenya Visa Application Form per applicant properly completed.  Incomplete or improperly completed forms will delay the processing of your visa.

Photo Requirements: Four recent 2 x 2 passport type photographs, in color, front view and with a plain/light background. (snapshots are not accepted).

Proof of Departure: Computer generated flight itinerary from the airline or a travel agency, copy of airline ticket or a corporate letter stating travel plans. A signed letter on the travel agency’s letterhead confirming round-trip booking may also be submitted.

5 Other Forms: Letter of Authorization.
6 Medical Requirements: The consulate of Kenya recommends immunization against Yellow Fever and Cholera.

For Business Travelers:  Business Letter - Original letter from employer or sponsoring company, on company letterhead, introducing the applicant, indicating the applicant’s employment status/position held in the company, and clearly stating the purpose of visit to Ghana.

Visa Validity

Visas are valid from 6 months to one year from the date of issue, depending on whether the visa is for single or multiple entry, and based on the consulate's discretion.

Non-refundable tickets or reservations should not be purchased until all visas and passports are secured and in your possession.

Visa Processing Time

Visas are usually processed in 7 working days.  Rush service may be available for additional fees.  Rush service is defined as any attempt made by Passport Rush to retrieve the visa in less time than the amount required by the embassy to process the visa.

 

Non-refundable tickets or reservations should not be purchased until all visas and passports are secured and in your possession.
